Project Manager, Bouygues UK
From the outset of any decorating quotation, estimate, package or tender our team can assist. With the support of ICI and PPG representatives (Dulux – Johnstones) we can help specify the correct materials, application and we will then provide estimates, quotes, produce a Bill of Quantities or Lump Sum figures for the project in hand.
On securing the project and agreeing all the specification requirements, the information is transferred between our office and a dedicated team consisting of: a Site Foreman, Project Manager and Contracts Manager during an onsite consultation. The team will see the project through to the end whilst liaising with the client.
General Painting and Decorating
From Emulsion to Eggshell or Stains to Gloss – brush, roller or spray applied. We can cover plaster, concrete, metal or woodwork, interior or exterior.
We can accommodate and apply all types of materials available to any surfaces that are involved.
BUILDING AIR TIGHT PAINT APPLICATION
We are able to supply and apply products that are compliant at achieving building regulations guidlines in regard to Air Tight Testing on blockwork surfaces - this new system is quick and easy to apply and much more cost effective that traditional methods. Please note the product has also successfully completed Fire Spread of flame testing to Class (0) copies of certification on request. Airtight is supplied in White, it can be the finished product without the need to paint over unless a different colour is required
Spraying
There are occasions when it is definitely uneconomical to use spray on small surfaces, i.e. window sashes. Any advantage in the speed of application which the spray possesses will probably be more than counterbalanced by the time taken in masking the surrounding areas. The brush and the spray should therefore be regarded, not as rivals but as complementary to each other, each serving a useful purpose.
Airless Paint Spraying
A fully electronic controlled airless unit (110 volt) that gives beautiful pressure control throughout the range, supported by a range of different spray tips. It provides a smooth spray for the lightest stains and varnish, through gloss, primers, undercoats, acrylics to vinyl emulsions.
The Classic Decorating Company have all their own spraying equipment and this therefore eliminates any hiring problems. This technique enables us to cover large areas fast using a spray gun. The painting gun removes the hassles involved in using brushes and rollers, especially on surface such as breeze or brick surfaces.
Airless Paint Spraying can be used for a number of different tasks internally and externally. Please do not hesitate to contact us to find out any extra information you might require.
Convention Paint Spraying
The Company has a range of compressors (110 or 240 volts) to suit various requirements and situations. Material is fed to the spray gun by either pressure cup or pressure pot. Conventional air-operated spray guns operate at pressure (typically 50 – 70 psi) which atomizes coatings to offer exceptionally fine finishes for a high quality paint job.
The value of the spray lies first in the greatly increased speed by which paint can be applied and in the beautifully smooth and even finish which can be obtained. Another great advantage is the number of decorative effects which can be produced without difficulty, most of them far beyond the capacity of the brush hand.
Many people, for example, still regard the spray as primarily intended for the application of cellulose lacquers and enamels. Although it is certainly essential for the latter, it is equally capable of coating surfaces with oil paints, water paints, varnishes, and other forms of finish.
Hygiene Coatings
The Company is experienced in painting and decorating within specialist environments that require particular attention to hygiene for example, hospitals, hotels, schools, kitchens and bathrooms. Hygienic paints are now available providing protection and resistance to bacteria and dangerous micro-organisms that could lead to infections. These can be applied by airless spraying methods or simply brush and roller techniques.

Access Equipment Qualification
Some of our team have taken and successfully qualified for IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
IPAF
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide. Set up in 1983, IPAF is a not-for-profit members’ organisation that represents the interests of manufacturers, distributors, users, rental and training companies. It serves as a forum for all active in the world of powered access. IPAF has played a key role in promoting many of the design, safety and testing procedures that are now established in the powered access industry.
PASMA Scaffold Tower Building
PASMA stands for “Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association” and is the HSE recognised body for training in mobile aluminium access scaffold towers. PASMA is a qualification, that once successfully achieved, enables individuals in the safe use of erecting, dismantling and the safe use of tower scaffolding and working at height regulations.
Not only has a majority of Classic Decorating’s team certified for PASMA, but we also have a range of Company owned access equipment.
